Autumn in Northern Minnesota

I first noticed the leaves starting to change way back in the beginning of August. We had been having some chilly days, considering August in Minnesota should be at least 85* and humid. Slowly but surely, the trees are all changing. After some storms, there are leaves all over the ground too.

Bees are still out – bumblebees, wasps, yellow jackets. All. Over. It makes for dangerous walks.

On Friday night, Gramma and Penny came to visit for a little bit. We took Penny on a walk down the trail near our house. She loved walking with Avery, but didn’t want Gramma out of sight for very long.

It’s almost time for another full moon. That means bright and sleepless nights. I can’t wait for the nest few weeks – cooler weather (I need to buy a sweater…) and less green. I’m just hoping the snow holds off til at least Thanksgiving…
